SQL Server Specialist‏

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  Seeking a strong Senior MS SQL Server developer who
understands business needs and has solid experience with Performance tuning and
Development. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years experience of SQL Server database
 development, performance tuning and troubleshooting using T-SQL. Candidate should be
 able to quickly learn existing system, troubleshoot problems and provide solutions.  

 

 Primary responsibilities will include developing, maintaining,
troubleshooting and performance tuning for Multiple databases. This person also will
be responsible for reviewing existing procedures and suggesting new architectural/
coding changes needed for better solutions and superior performanance. This person
will work closely with Onsite teams to translate business requirements into technical
 requirements and implement them.

 

 

 REQUIREMENTS:

 ·         Solid experience in T-SQL/Stored Procedure creation, modifying and
                  debugging using SQL Server 2000 and above version

 ·         Very strong experience in tuning queries and stored procedures

 ·         Experience using SQL Profiler and Windows Performance Manager for
                  troubleshooting

 ·         Ability to create technical implementation documentation from
                 business requirements and implementing them.

 ·         Very good working knowledge of MS SQL Server Query Engine, 
                 Execution Plan, Indexing and other performance tuning techniques

 ·         Proven ability to work in global environments and to collabarate
                  affectivitly with counterparts in remote offices.

 ·         Resourceful, creative, responsible, flexible, able to work
                unsupervised and dedicated to quality of work.

 ·         Excellent Communication Skills

 

 

 PREFERRED SKILLS:

 ·         Leadership skills

 ·         Microsoft SQL Server Certified

 ·         knowledge of Java/J2EE

 ·         Experience with SSIS packages and tuning..

 ·         Microsoft clustering experience

 ·         Experience with Scrum/Agile Process

 ·         Postgress/Oracle Development Experience
