Necessary Skills – Test Planning, Test Design Techniques, API based Test Automation, database knowledge, exposure to programming, Testing on multiple platforms. Hands on with White Box test strategies for J2EE and SOA based products.

Role Portrait

 Should be able to work with Product Arhitects and Designers to Identify and finalise Test Requirements and Scope
 Ability to work with team memebrs to troubleshoot issues.
 Performs code and design reviews on test automation code written by Test Automation Engineers
 Should be able to architect and design the API based automation frameworks (e.g. TestNG, xUnit etc.)
 Works with development to create the necessary hooks in the products to aid in the creation of Test Automation. This should occur during the design phase of the project
 Takes a lead role in defining various types of testing and automation procedures
 Performs research on new technologies, tools and standards in the market place
 Should be capable of creating best practices, innovate by creating tools and usage patterns and publish white papers on the same.
 Ability to see inefficiencies and communicate these to the management and also provide solutions.
 Should be capable of providing solutions to the problems faced by team and group.
 Should act as a mentor for rest of the team members in terms of technology, function and domain.
 Should have worked on SOA and web based enterprise class applications
 Should come from Java, J2EE\J2ME Development background, posses knowledge of SDLC
 Ensure strict adherence to Oracle Product Development Process testing guidelines and quality control procedures
