Details about the position:

Position: Senior Software QA Engineer
Location: Gurgaon

Requisites:

- 5 - 7 years of professional experience including background in software testing, development and/or hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting complex custom solutions.
- Must have C++ and JAVA application testing experience, RF wireless and LAN networking testing experience, embedded systems testing experience.
- Hands-on experience testing Embedded Software or automated software testing on some code which runs on an embedded or wireless device or development experience in test cases for software that runs on mobile devices
- Testing in a Network or Telecom environment can also be considered.
- Active participant in verification strategies, test planning process & test case design
- Perform manual & automated tests to verify product functionality, analyze results and assess automation effectiveness.
- Developed software test plans and procedures from requirements documentation
- Experience in as many of the following areas: GUI testing; embedded testing; web application testing; mobile or handheld devices and various software & hardware platforms.
- Experience in Feature, Regression, Load, Installation/ Upgrade, Localization, Performance and Longevity testing.
- Testing in different Software Development Lifecycles (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong verbal and visual presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

- Researches and develops a solid understanding of the proposed requirements, both from product management (Product Requirement Documents) and engineering specifications for the product features being implemented.
- Acts as SQA leader in identifying high risk test areas during design and development.
- Works cross-functionally to mitigate risk.
- Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test strategies.
- Designs and reviews test plans and test cases.
- Executes functional, application, regression and performance tests.
- Completes projects and tasks in a timely fashion.
- Provide SQA status to Management and stakeholders
- Mentor and Train new hires, contractors, interns and junior staff members
- Work With Tech Support and Tier 3 Support on conducting Root Cause Analysis on defects found after release
- Conduct internal training on products/tools
- Identify and participate in the improvement of SQA processes.
- Keep abreast of SQA, Agile and SCRUM best practices
