1. Session, Event and Account Management (SEAM) Group – Software Engineer.

The main responsibility of the group is to develop and enhance services in an Intelligent Networks environment. Currently Prepaid and Content Charging services are being developed for Mobile Networks.

Candidates need to have:
• Advanced C programming ability.
• Good personal communication skills
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment and also on own initiative
• Experience of the full software development lifecycle

The following technical skills would be very beneficial:
• Knowledge of UNIX (preferably Sun Solaris)
• Relational Database Design experience
• Database programming experience (ODBC/SQL/SYBASE CTLIB)
• Knowledge of Telecom Standards and Protocols (ASN1, SS7, INAP, IS41, GSM)
• C++ programming experience
• Unix shell scripting
• Perl scripting
• CORBA programming experience


2. Platform, Operations and Maintenance Group (POM) - Software Engineer.
The successful candidate will join a focused team with the responsibility for development of the platform layer of software to support Tecnomen Ltd.’s range of Charging products and services. This involves a close integration with the underlying OS and RDBMS, including HA cluster technology. A core competency in C programming is essential. As part of the team, successful candidates will work closely with other group members to design, develop, test and implement various components of the Tecnomen Charging Platform Software. Among the technologies used in the group are: C/C++, Corba, UNIX (Solaris), Sun Cluster, RDBMS (Sybase), SOAP/XML.

Job Requirements
• The ability to analyse, design, develop, build/patch and unit test all software deliverables. Expert knowledge of C.
• Good knowledge of RDBMS systems, in particular Sybase
• Expertise in UNIX development and System Administration, in particular Solaris
• Good knowledge of Unix shell scripting
• Good knowledge of perl programming
• Experience in C++ Programming
• Candidates will be expected to learn quickly, demonstrate creative and practical problem solving, and possess sound judgment.
• Must demonstrate solid organization and communication skills and ability to work under individual initiative.


3. Service Management & APIs (SMA) - Software Engineer.
Development and maintenance of N-Tier CORBA based Applications and Interfaces, using both C++ and Java. A background in Graphical User Interface Design, High Availability, and Scalable Distributed computing platforms as well as Commercial Database design and management would be an advantage.

Desirable skills include:
• The ability to analyse, design, develop, build/patch and unit test all software deliverables
• Expert knowledge of C++, Java
• Expert knowledge of OOD (UML)
• Team Leadership skills
• Experience with CORBA based development, preferably using TAO (The ACE ORB)
• Experience with Unix or Linux environments, preferably Solaris 8
• Experience with J2EE, preferably using JBoss
• Experience of Client / Server architecture, HA / Cluster platform
• Experience in GUI design and development, preferably with Java Swing Components
• Excellent relational database design skills, preferably Sybase ASE
• Shell / Perl scripting
• Experience of and desire to generate relevant and appropriate documentation.
A working knowledge of some of the following third party applications is also required, including CVS, Purify, and Quantify
