Job Description:

Data Modeling - Star / Snowflake Schema:

  • Designs, implements, and maintains databases.
  • Maintains database dictionaries and ensures system integration.
  • Should be conversant with ETL technologies with experience in Datastage, DB2, Oracle.

Key responsibilties include:

· Review current data models to understand the as-is environment

  • Review report design documents to understand where data model structures can address requirements
  • Work with the key business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers and data architect to model the current data (where models do not already exist) and for the to be system
  • Create logical and physical data models for as-is and proposed / to-be system
  • Create entity-relationship diagrams for relational systems and dimensional diagrams for the Data Warehouse, Data Marts and data cubes
  • Review, update and validate data model with key business representatives and end users
  • Work with the technical architect, data architect and database administrator to understand current data storage constraints and define to be needs with growth allocation
  • Work with data architect to define and create required metadata
  • Maintain data models continuously as modifications and enhancements are made
  • Create data model structures to enhance performance of the application by creating aggregation and summarization structures

Business Process - IT Alignment:

  • Need experienced BA to working on scoping deliverables for the Portal / ECM team.
  • Candidate should have an understanding of retail business and ADM methodology and have a working understand portal and ECM technologies.

Manage Transition:

Key Expectations

  • Strong Program management capabilities.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of program capabilities and business results for specific workstream.
  • Set overall direction for the workstream (if leading the Workstream).
  • Identify and resolve cross-work stream dependencies.
  • Monitor progress to ensure workstream objectives are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor workstream timelines, milestones and resource usage.
  • Monitor workstream-level risks and mitigation.
  • Monitor the delivery of business results assigned to the workstream.
