Senior developer with strong C++, UNIX and database experience

Responsibilities : Senior developer in the team required to deliver on critical CPG priorities, including mandatory market data transparency initiative required by the Fed. Additional work includes development for mandatory software remediation efforts, including Symphony 3, Sybase 15, RedHat 5 and GCC upgrades. Should have a deep understanding of multiple technologies and excellent communication skills. Should be able to independently deliver projects and investigate complex issues by digging through code. Must have worked on complex enterprise scale systems preferably in the financial domain.

 

Experience level : Minimum 7 years experience in Information Technology dealing with large complex systems preferably in the financial domain.

Skill set : Experience with C++ , Databases SYBASE 12.5/15(preferred) or Oracle, scripting, PERL on UNIX (preferably Sun Solaris 8 or higher). Must have exposure to LINUX (prefreably Red Hat version 3 or higher). Grid computing experience a plus

 - C++ / Roguewave C++ containers & threads
 - Object Oriented Analysis, Design, Programming
 - Design Patterns
 - Grid computing
 - SQL, Sybase, TSQL
 - Perl, Unix Shell scripting
 - XML

Bachelors or masters degree in engineering or equivalent and a minimum 10 years of experience in technology, preferably in the financial domain
